A good chill awaits, and I'm bloody patient.

Dear Chedster, et al,
This is the 'Mule clocking in once again.
This beautiful Sunday a.m., I was restless for reasons not fully understood. Put another way, my beloved Astros had gone up two games to one on the Atlanta Braves, Texas beat OU, and my Missouri Tigers defeated Oklahoma State.
...so what could possibly be wrong?
Simply this: IR publishes the kind of horror I love and I ain't on the bandwagon.
That sucks; it's on par with Moses waving his staff, parting the Red Sea, and halfway across their journey to the Promised Land, his magic (God's Magic) fails. He and his followers get a catastrophic dunking :-) Yup, horror readers are "all wet" unless they're reading IR.
"Yea" (says the 'Mule). 'T'is time to correct this major cosmic imbalance!
So...item one: Ched or other insipid leaders of the IR sanctum, zip me a reply via private email as to what I need do to right this motley situation (and fatten your bank accounts).
Item two: while IR graced its pilot issue with a couple of my shorts (not the ones I put in the laundry), I am fully aware that the competition for open slots has stiffened. Since then, I've subbed two or three tales and had them rejected. No biggie. I dropped the ball on my end by not having quite the right tale in the hopper.
I have one in the hopper now that is the sort of thing y'all are looking for. It's not out-and-out gore, but it does pack a hell of a punch.
This tale is an old one that I took on before my writing abilities were up to the task; they are now. FYI, the title is "The World-Eaters". Sound enticing?
Hopefully...'cause it goes to IR before anyone else.
Sincerely,
'Mule
