By the way MAri, what IS the correct take on that? Well, it depends on a person's actual "Pagan persuasion" - there's a ton of information out there (that's correct LOLOL) - as to what Samhain actually is/was. But there never was a "Lord Samhain". "Samhain" is an old Irish word that's pronounced "Saw-wen" (kinda like "sawin"); it means "Summery End" - ergo, the beginning of Winter. Here's a link on one take: www.celticspirit.org/samhain.htm
