Just checked out the beginning of the .pdf with the short by Gary Branubeck. Love the cover!! ;D And great tale. Creepy, odd, disturbing, surreal! I'll finish this issue off tomorrow. Another great one, IR!

Absolutely is! One more story to go and mine will be done too. Glad I shelled out to get my pdf printed and bounded; makes for easy reading on the go.

I need to look into getting that done. . . Or else I gotta do it myself. Either way, I can't read the whole thing on the computer.

Was a little pricey but I bet if you were able to print it out at home, you could probably get it bounded at a print shop for about 4 bucks or so.
Gary's story was one of my favourate ones. Also liked the one about Honey a lot too. Very creepy entertaining stuff.

Just the language alone on that one was spellbinding. Another one that I thought was a nice kick to the grapes was John Rector's The Pie Contest. Short but wow! After I finished that one I was like, no, she didn't do what I think she did, did she? I almost gagged myself which was refreshing in a horrid sort of way. Really affective stuff.

lol! I liked that one too! It was a total mind fuck.
Actually, I liked them all. Otherwise, they wouldn't have been in this past issue, right?
There's some serious talent out there. We're lucky enough to get to witness their work. It's too bad the general public doesn't get to see it all. I've rejected some damn fine stories from some damn fine writers It hurts, but I gotta do what's right for IR. Sad but true.

What the heck do you think we're here for? They gotta start public somewhere and DUH! We're that public! And someday. . . we'll be a big freakin public and these people can say I WAS IN THE FIRST (or whatever number) ISSUE OF IR BABY! And we can sit there on our private beach sipping cocktails laugh our asses off at them. Some girl in a skimpy bikini comes out. "HEY! AREN'T YOU CHRIS HEDGES, THE EDITOR FROM IR?!" Then D'Ann comes out with an ax and chases her away. Maybe cuts her head off. *sigh* I can see it now and it smells so sweet. I love fresh blood.
